Review: Deadpool’s Secret Wars # 3

G’Day Secret War Fans!

This is Dodgy86 in the mix, bringing you another comic book review of Deadpool’s Secret Wars # 3 by Cullen Bunn with art by Matteo Lolli and Ruth Redmond.

Deadpool is back in 1984 living the dream… Being amongst the elite class of Marvel Heroes including The Hulk, Captain America, The fantastic Four and the X-Men just to name a few. The are amidst the battle with the common foe of Galactus, Doctor Doom and various allied super villains.

Jumping forward … The newly polished Deadpool is romancing in the loving arms of the alien woman whom he considered saving him, until their rendezvous is interrupted by a scene of possible destruction.. Does this come at a cost? or two? Well then… Read it and you will find out!

Cullen brought us right back from issue 2 with immediate continuum and giving humour to what could be a serious storyline, Lolli and RR continues the 80’s appeal of mixing the Merc with a Mouth back to the future.. or the past!?

The vast roster of characters are a marvel fan’s dream with the original costumes and designs, most characters are given dialogue which is pretty cool! This series is a great way of enhancing the storyline from a different angle without being slapstick even though it is pretty funny. The cover art helps too!!

I’d like to read more to complete this arc, do ya’self a favour and check it out!
