REVIEW: Last Sons of America #3 (of 4)

G“Day Crusaders,

This is Dodgy86 back into the mix bringing you The last Sons of America # 3 by (W) Philip Kennedy Johnson (A) Matthew Dow Smith (CA) Tonci Zonjic. Proudly produced by Boom! Studios.

Brothers Jackie and Julian Carver are in a situation they cannot escape.. Their ambitious venture of buying orphaned or abandoned children from the central-American country of Nicaragua, saving them from a life of poverty provided a second chance of life to potential parents in the United States is foiled when Jackie takes Sara the daughter of their biggest contributor Don Carlo. The issue the brothers face is that Sara does not want to go back home to her father. As a result they are on the run, as Don Carlo owns the cops of Nicaragua and to what end leads for the Carver brothers?

This is a brilliant tale of grit, greed, trust and deception in its finest form, PKJ takes the reader on a journey seen through the eyes of both brothers. As they both have their own strengths and weaknesses and compliment each other, we see that when their own with nail-biting obstacles to avoid certain death. The art adds the grittiness to the story especially the shading and the coloring is enough to get you anxious!

This would be fantastic film and I know Peter Dinklage would be perfect as Julian. This is a fine read and ends with a cliff hanger so you really need to see what happens next!
