REVIEW: Trail #1

G“Day Crusaders,

This is Dodgy86 in the mix bringing you Trail by Ben Slabak with art by Judit Tondora, Marc Sintes and Roland Pilcz. Published by Cloud 9 Comix.

Marco Polo was not the first man to sail from Europe to Asia, he was the first known man to document his travels. A map was found belonging to Marco Polo; an ambitious team of antique collectors are united to keep this map in a museum for research purposes and prevent it from falling into the hands of the greedy black market.

Thus the Treasure Recovery Antiques Investigation League, T.R.A.I.L is born.

The story is very wordy – the story is detailed thoroughly and every character“s personality is introduced through dialogue. Slabak has done the research to support the facts in his storytelling in this book, making it more believable. The dialogue is intelligible with no room for nonsense.

The pacing in this book is a bit slow due to the excessive wording, and less action. However being the first issue, there is a focus on introducing the characters.
