Let’s just this book by its cover… Red,White and Blue never looked so good! THE Daughter of the Revolution, smooth lines and great colour. This cover screams superhero and is done very well.

If you’re sitting comfortably we can begin… It’s 1776 and a young woman fights her way into an enemy camp but it ambushed and shot from behind. She is the Shield of the revolution.
Jump forward to today where we find a woman in a police precinct that has no idea who she is. A detective hands her an address and tells her to be on her way and this is where her adventure begins.

This heroine looks like Captain Americas sidekick, but don’t let that fool you, this girl is the MAIN attraction. The idea of a hero born again and again when there’s a war is a great concept. The pacing was good and the art is great. The lead is powerful without being cocky and the mystery of the agent that knows who Victoria is and what he wants is interesting.

The good, the bad and the star rating…
The Good- Story and art are both winners.
The Bad- The main character looks very similar to Barbara Gordon and her Shield costume looks like Cap’s sidekick bucky’s.
The Stars- I really enjoyed this title. Show me a strong female lead and make her interesting and I’m sold.
4 Stars and Stripes.

Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
