Colorado Springs Comic Con to Hold Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Colorado Springs Comic Con, in partnership with the management of the Altered Reality Event Center, invites local media to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony to usher in the 2nd annual pop culture event. The ceremony is scheduled for Friday August 25, 2017 at 2:30 p.m.

Officiating over the ceremony will be Kevin Hummer, who operates the newly expanded 100,000-square-foot Altered Reality Event Center in Colorado Springs, CO which hosts many events throughout the year—including consumer shows, festivals, concerts, conventions, and business meetings. Joining Hummer will be Colorado Springs’ mayor John Suthers.

Actors Scott Wilson and Kyla Kenedy from the very popular AMC series The Walking Dead will also be participating in the ceremony, as well as cosplayers from the Colorado Springs area.

The Altered Reality Event Center, located at 3960 Palmer Park Boulevard in Colorado Springs, was recently renamed and this ribbon cutting also marks the first event under the new name, as well as their recent expansion to create Hall B of the venue. The ceremony itself will take place between Halls A & B at the venue.
