It’s time to experience gaming in a whole new world!

From the organisations that bring you Dublin Comic Con and Celtic Throwdown, Games Expo Ireland, aka GXI, is Ireland’s largest gaming event which is being held in the in the RDS November 25th and 26th 2017. GXI will celebrate all things gaming and offers different experiences to attendees. From meeting some of your favourite character actors and seeing life sized interactive game sets to casual gaming and competing in tournaments, GXI has everything a gaming fan could want.

The guest line up so far includes performers from Overwatch, Fallout and more. The guests include:

  • Peter Jessop is a well known voice actor who has appeared as Miraak of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim DLC Dragonborn and as Paladin Danse from Fallout 4.
  • Carolina Ravassa is most well known for her performance as Sombra in Overwatch.
  •  Anjali Bhimani will also be in attendance and is most well known for voicing Symmetra from Overwatch and Nisha from Fallout 4.

There will be many gaming tournaments over the weekend ranging from SFV, Rocket League  and Tekken to Hearthstone and Mario Kart. Big Betty, the first Sports Truck is also coming to Ireland and has the latest games, streaming stations and technology to host the GXI sports tournaments. Fans will also be able to play their favourite retro games in the Retro Gaming Zone which includes consoles and games from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s.

If table-top gaming is more your thing, GXI will also be hosting games and tournaments in Yu-Gi-Ho, Magic the Gathering, Ultimate Werewolf, Avalon, Zombie Dice, Exploding Kittens and many, many more. You can check all of the table-top fun at the Table-Top Gaming Zone.

On top of all of this, fans will also be able to join industry professionals, educational institutions and game developers for panels, discussions and gaming engagements all weekend at the GXI Games Summit. And, in tradition with conventions worldwide, there will also be a Cosplay Competition with fantastic prizes to be won. Panels with industry leaders such as Demonware, educational leaders in game development and game developers themselves will be scheduled over  he weekend so be sure to plan your day to get the most out of the weekend.
