Indie comic book creator J.M. Bryan has shared a 10 page preview from his upcoming comic and Kickstarter project, Closer. The first issue will be released in March of this year.
Closer is the story of Nathaniel Hopkins and his wife, Marie. After being missing for a year, and presumed dead, Marie returns home to Crescent Valley and to her husband. Nathaniel struggles with her return and the many questions that he has about her disappearance, all while feeling as though something sinister is going on in the world around him. The book is narrated by Nathaniel as he tells his story to Detective Sullivan Carver after confessing to a murder. Told in two, 22 page issues, Closer is a mystery/thriller about family, faith, and what we would do to have our deepest desire met.

The creative team is raising money to both print the first issue as well as pay for production on the second issue. The Kickstarter is currently at 181% funding with some great bonuses for physical backers because of the stretch goals we have met so far. With 10 days left, they are trying to hit $1200 to fully fund the second issue. If it does hit that, they will go on to give a digital copy of the second issue to ALL BACKERS as soon as it’s completed.
