PREVIEW: Sliced Quarterly #6

Sliced Quarterly #6 is now available to read and download for free at

Sliced Quarterly is an experimental comic anthology. We give a home to stories that want to push the boundaries of the comic book narrative. We publish ‘slice of life’ stories told in extraordinary ways.

Issue #6 of Sliced Quarterly is continuing to showcase unique comics from fresh and distinct voices in the small press scene, not just in the UK, but from around the world.

This collection features 7 pieces including: A story that incapsulates the joy and despair of breaking a childhood toy, an abstract comic about having a voice, a study of an unreliable memory, a dream interpretation… But good. A trip into a turbulent subconscious, a snapshot of a child star that changes in unexpected ways and a wrenching depiction of a battle against biology.

Our talented contributors include: Martin Feekins (2000ad), Jonathan Scott, Daniel Ableev, Eric Gaghan, Gregory Floch, J.M. Bryan (Closer), Kyle Houston, Caleb Lindley, Bob Schroeder, Kim Roberts (Chronicles of Terror) & Denis Vermesse.

Our first collected volume was successfully kickstarted in the last 2 months and has been very well received. We will be appearing at MCM London in May and at Thought Bubble in September.

We operate an open submissions policy going forward. Guidelines are on our website –
