Review: Avengers Mech Strike #1

In the first issue of Avengers Mech Strike #1, Iron Man and the Avengers had battled a Kaiju sized robot in the middle of the city and had recruited and Spider-Man to help them. After defeating the Robot Tony Stark was examining the Robot’s armor and realized a lot of the technology resembled that living tissue.  Sort of a Bio-Mechanoid armor technology. It was then revealed that Bio-Mechanoid was most likely the third iteration. The last few panels are very intriguing, though more research may be needed before I fully understand them.

I do not hate the idea of Armored Fleet Dairugger XV flavored Marvel Avengers; I just do not want it to be apart of the 616.  In fact, this could do well! I do have some doubts, such as, mean does the Hulk really need armor? Now if you wanted to tell me it might come in handy during the King in Black, I am all in.

Truth be told readers are not going to want this to be the one you just randomly jump in on and start reading for the King in Black, because it has not tied in yet.  Readers also might be perturbed by the insinuation that some of these characters need armor, but whatever.   At least it is not good guys fighting good guys in a tournament arc again.  Are these armored suits, going to be the thing that triggers the SP//dr Suit?

The art was done by Carlos Magno (Empyre: Avengers,Fantastic Four,Invaders) coloring by Guru- Efx. The make it or break was always going to be the design of the Armor.  They are not half bad, although like I said before I have some doubt on the reasoning why certain characters needed armor. Straight up it was just a fun read.
