Let’s judge this book by its cover… Great gothic art with a dark and sinister look. This title has had some great covers and this is no exception.

Check out my review for issue 3 for a recap.

In the final part to this EPIC dark story the war between the humans and the vampires reaches it peak. With the help of the werewolves and the monsters of Frankenstein the humans face off in the vampire city to free the human slaves. With the werewolves no longer willing to work with Frankenstein after his latest “experiment”, the humans and monsters head to the city. The battle looks like it could go ether way until a new monster army joins the fight, buts whose side are they on?

I’ve enjoyed this book from the start, it’s quick pacing has made reading each issue a breeze, the art is stunningly dark and the double page spreads of fight scenes are gorgeous. The story of the vampires taking over the world and poisoning it so that even should they lose nothing living could survive on it is original and interesting. At times it’s quick pacing can feel a little rushed leaving parts out, the interactions between characters are settled too easily, but with only four issues to tell what could have easily been a 6-8 part story its easy to let it off.

With fingers crossed for a second volume I give this one 5 stars for a story well told and very well drawn.

Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
