Back once again with the new indie British monthly series of stories from multiple creative teams, each story is cut down into one chapter each issue making it more likely you’ll find a story you really enjoy. For me there are a couple of really good entries this issues with one being a short one and done story that had me interested right up to the laugh out loud ending which I’ll get to after a quick run down of the other stories inside.

But the first one I want to talk about is ‘Cold’ which sees a couple on their way to a party, on their way they narrowly avoid hitting a cat with their car and if that wasn’t traumatic enough when they get there the house is frozen. When the man peers through the letter box he sees a mouth that simply says “cold” in an icy voice that freezes his eyes in his head. This is the type of creepy I like in my books, with no warning or any foreshadowing the last panel hits hard. The art looks as though it’s done with nothing more than charcoal and it works well with this story. The story continues next issue and I can’t wait.

The other story that I really enjoyed was ‘The Plague’ it tells the story of the bionic plague that ravaged the earth turning every living thing Into a killing machine, the war between man and machine lasted years and saw no victor as the world was almost destroyed and left in the dark ages for a thousand years.Â The art for this is a lot cleaner than the last and most others in this book it’s retro feel with robots is very well done. A fantastic short story from a very talented writer.

This book should have something for everyone with the stories varying from sci-fi to the supernatural, it’s worth a look, you might just find a ken or two. 5 stars for the great variety of stories and art work.

Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
