Review: Eve Stranger #4 (OF 5)

Some time ago The New York Times made an interesting question (note that I avoid using the word “controversial”) to its readers: If you could travel in time, would you kill Hitler being a baby? I think Deadpool already told us what he would do, but now what would Eve Stranger do?

Eve Stranger is a skilled assassin with her body full of Nanobots that give her certain superhuman abilities, but this has a small inconvenience, to prevent the nanobots from exploding she must take an antidote every seven days with the side effect of erasing her memory.

One day Jimmy and Eve receive a new “job” to fulfill, few weeks ago a time traveler came from the future with very bad news: A nuclear war destroyed the world and the human civilization is near extinction and blah blah, however, the traveler also brought a device that has two lights: Red and Green, Red means bad and Green that the future changed, but what should change in the future? How can be avoid such catastrophe? The answer is simple, Eve must kill Khloe Sutton who in the future will be the prime minister of Britain and is a complete and absolute fascist and will unleash a world war that will provoke the future from which the traveler comes, only that there is a detail, in time present Khloe is a innocent baby, situation which Eve will solve in the most unexpected way.

Even Stranger is a great surprise and I loved it, in my opinion it fulfills everything in this issue, it shows a good and intelligent script written by David Barnett which is combined with a wonderful and spectacular art in the two stories shown in this number that goes by Philip Bond and Liz Prince in addition to the spectacular colors of Eva de la Cruz.

And don’t forget friends: Comics are culture.

Score: 5/5
