Review: Go Go Power Rangers #1

If you’re like me and think Tommy Oliver is the most overrated Ranger and preferred the show before he came along and although you may enjoy Booms ongoing comic series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers but would like it a little more if it were just the original team then look no further because Boom heard you and have bought out a second Power Rangers series with the greatest line up of teens with attitude as Trini, Zack, Billy and Kimberly follow team leader Jason into battle against the vile Rita Repulsa and her army of Putties and never-ending supply of monsters.

Starting from the first time Zordon and Alpha called them to the command centre and they morphed and even taking us back before they were Rangers to see not only who these teenagers were but also why they were chosen to be Rangers.  this series details in-depth consequences of their fights with giant monsters in Angel Grove as Power Rangers while also showing us the real life issues they face as Teenagers in high school.

As a more “mature” Power Ranger fan this series, like the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series is perfect for me, it keeps close enough to the show that you feel like a kid again while growing with its audience for a more grown up story telling. The art is stunning in every panel from the first page to last and getting to see a closer look at how they became the team we know and love is great. This is hands down a 5 star book.

Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
