Review: Head Lopper #6

Head Lopper and the Crimson Tower Chapter Two

Norgal and Agatha have teamed up with two warriors they met during their last adventure, Zhaania and Xho to kill Ulrich the twice damned and free his prisoners. To do so they must first collect the four Crystal Eyes but with each guarded its own terror the team will have to fight harder than they have and not everyone will survive the trials.

Head Looper doesn’t come out every month which can be frustrating because it’s so good, waiting for such a long time between issues can cause issues with remembering what came before. But because of how much I enjoy this book I will keep coming back even it takes 2,3 or even 4 months between issues. This book, from issue one has been on my must read list, the relationship between Norgal and Agatha is hilarious at times and heartbreaking at others. The book can switch between light and silly to dark and gritty in single panel flawlessly. Don’t let the overly cartoony art fool you this book is not for kids, the title should give it away as it is actually about lopping heads.

I’ve enjoyed the art with run as cartoony style surprisingly works perfect for the story and overly graphic kills. This book needs to be on everyone’s pull list 5 stars.

Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
