Review: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #2

This review was due from last week, sorry for the delay but I certainly had to take my time with this particular comic, it is certainly not the first time that both teams coincide, in the late 90’s there was a crossover between the TMNT and the Power Rangers in Space in an episode called “Shell Shocked”, you can remember it for a famous meme that circulated some time ago on the Internet.

But now Boom Studios bring to Us the Classic MMPR together with the Mutant Quelonians in an interesting crossover, just as many crossover of this type is normal to be a previous confrontation between the heroes before simply saying: “Hey, you don’t look like from this neighborhood, What brings you here?” Well, I think the heroes and mutants do those things, the fact is that Tommy is missing and the MMPR are looking for him desperately, however not all is bad news, the good thing is that the Turtles found the Green Ranger, or… Well, they were attacked by Tommy and the Clan Foot.

On the other hand Tommy is in the belly of the beast, on in this case, in the belly of the Clan Foot on a personal mission to rescue his friend Tyler who for some strange reason he decided to join the Clan Foot, but things will rise another level when Shredder discovers who Tommy really is and the worst is yet to come when Rita tries to get back his precious Green Ranger from the Shredder’s claws.

The news of this crossover was something really surprising and this issue was very surprising for what is to come, I really liked what I read and I think that this particular number will be one of the great titles of 2020, good art and good script combine in this limited series.

Este review lo debÃa de la semana pasada, disculpen el retraso pero ciertamente tuve que tomar mi tiempo para este comic en particular, ciertamente no es la primera vez que ambos equipos coinciden, a finales de los 90 hubo un crossover entre las TMNT y los Power Rangers in Space en un episodio llamado “Shell Shocked”, podrÃ¡n recordarlo por un famoso meme que circulÃ³ hace algÃºn tiempo en Internet.

Pero ahora Boom Studios tomÃ³ la tarea de reunir a los MMPR ClÃ¡sicos con los Quelonios Mutantes en un interesante crossover, al igual que muchos crossover de este tipo es normal que haya un enfrentamiento entre ambos hÃ©roes antes de simplemente decir “Oye, no pareces de este vencidario Â¿Que te trae por acÃ¡?”, en fin, creo que los hÃ©roes y mutantes hacen esas cosas, el hecho es que Tommy estÃ¡ desaparecido y los MMPR estan buscÃ¡ndolo desesperadamente, sin embargo no todas son malas noticias, lo bueno del asunto es que las Tortugas encontraron al Ranger Verde o mejor dicho, fueron atacadas por Tommy y el Clan Foot.

Por otro lado Tommy en las entraÃ±as del Clan Foot se encuentra en una misiÃ³n personal y es la de rescatar a su amigo Tyler quien por alguna extraÃ±a razÃ³n decidiÃ³ formar parte del Clan Foot, pero las cosas subirÃ¡n otro nivel cuando Shredder descubra quien es realmente Tommy y lo peor estarÃ¡ por venir cuando Rita sepa que su Green Ranger estÃ¡ en las manos equivocadas e intente recuperarlo.

La noticia de este crossover fue algo realmente sorprendente y este nÃºmero llamÃ³ ciertamente la atenciÃ³n por lo que estÃ¡ por venir, me gustÃ³ lo que leÃ y creo que este nÃºmero en particular serÃ¡ uno de los grandes tÃtulos del 2020, buen arte y buen guiÃ³n se combinan en esta serie limitada.
