REVIEW: Predator Vs. Judge Dredd Vs. Aliens

What. A. Ride! Issue number four of Predator vs. Judge Dredd vs. Aliens was just plain awesomeness in comic form. Action packed with all your favorite movie monsters and heroes. What a cool concept for a story. I know that super team up“s and versus battles are cliché nowadays but I can“t get enough of them. Especially if they“re like this. Writer John Layman takes us on a field day of an adventure full of hunting and action that I wouldn“t mind a sequel of. Artist Chris Mooneyham draws a creative detailed world that set the scene for this comic perfectly. From the ships to the cities and even the xenomorphs are quite amazing. They“re drawn with a certain rough grit that fits. Dredd is drawn perfectly and the different predator hunters look hardcore. This comic was visual delight to my Dredd, Aliens and Predator fan side.

Xenomorphs are running a muck and have been mutated to a specific man-animal hybrid. So much violence in one being. They“ve been unleashed on planet earth starting in Mega City One and they are a slaughter machine. Judge Dredd and a couple of Predators are on their way to stop what they can. Dredd is not intimidated by the Predators and makes it clear to them that he is the “law”“. Mooneyham draws this wicked elephant Xenomorph that gets one over on Dredd but is saved by a Predator. Dredd and Predators have open season and save what they can of civilians while killing as many xenomorphs as they can. As the comic moves along to the end you“ll get a wonderful large surprise in the xenomorph department. I believe if you’re a fan of one of the characters then you“ll love this comic and if you“re a fan of all three, bonus for you.

With all the hardcore art and story you could want, this comic is a wonderful combination of three movie mega powers in comic book form. They fit here too. It“s a nice home for all the violence and mayhem for them. Predator vs. Judge Dredd vs. Aliens is a great idea and a cool creation with a gory crazy storyline that will keep you hooked from beginning to end. This looks like the end of the arc but hopefully not the end of this trinity of chaos. Maybe we can see other alterations substitute into with these three. Robocop, Snake Plissken, Conan, Indiana Jones? I digest. We will just have to wait and see, but until then pick up this book and enjoy! Predator vs. Judge Dredd vs. Aliens issue four gets five out of five stars.
