REVIEW: Red Hood Outlaw #37
As the Black Sheep of the Batman Family, Jason Todd as the Red hood has had some pretty good story lines over the short time he has been around.(First comic appearance: Jason Todd as the Red Hood Batman #635 (Feb 2005), but only a few things have been consistent across his story-lines.

Ӣ He was dead but was resurrected from the Lazarus Pit
”¢ Whereas the Dark Knight had strict “no guns” and “no killing” rules, Jason was the complete opposite.
Nothing else seems to stick though, as hard as many a writer has tried, to give Red Hood some added depth; however, that may have changed starting in the previous issue of Red Hood: Outlaw #36. In which the newly minted and one to rule them all in creepiness Apex Lex Luthor continued the “Year of the Villains” storyline by offering the Red Hood the chance to train the next generation of super-villains.
Well, no response was given but it looks as though Jason Todd accepted, because in the current issue of Red Hood: Outlaw #37, we find him holding class four super-powered individuals; Babe-in-Arms, DNA, Devour, and Cloud 9. Every single one of them are young, incredibly talented super powered but eerily creepy in their own Joie de vivre type of way.
If you are looking for the potential of these characters, just keep in mind that they were created by Scott Lobdell (Happy Death Day). The dialogue between the character reads very well, though the tension between some of the characters was a little too early on in the arc for me to actually care.
The great artistic detail put into each panel and each character by was all due to the hard work put in by penciler Pete Woods and colorist Rex Lokus.
At the end of the day, this will be heavily sought out by Wednesday warrior, due to the new direction and new role for Jason Todd, and I gotta admit I’ll be in line with them.
Red Hood Outlaw #37: Year Of The Villain Dark Gifts Tie-In will come in two covers; the Cover A was drawn by Regular Kenneth Rocafort Cover; Cover B was drawn by Variant Philip Tan Cover. A word of advice… even though Red Hood’s print run is usually around 21,000 as of the writing of this review #37 is already sold out on-line at several comic shops, so don’t expect that this will be available for Saturday Warrior if you haven’t already reserved one.
