Let’s judge this book by its cover… Another fantastic cover, I’m starting to sound like a broken record (that’s a giant plastic CD to you younger readers) but the cover art has been flawless for both issues. The face with the missing teeth screams horror. The reflection in his glasses of sheer terror makes this cover perfect. (See Self Storage #1 Review)

We left off last issue with our storage hunter Chris buying an empty locker… Or so he thought, inside was the body of a woman who has been inside for what could have been years. The woman however was not as dead as she looked.

So what do you do when you find a naked woman in a storage locker? You panic and close the door of course… Well if she dives at you with a lustful hunger in her eyes at least.
Chris was hoping to find some antiques or maybe some high-end furniture, instead he found a person, a naked person. Warning Walt to stay clear Chris goes to clear his head. Walt being a nosey old sod ventures into the locker to see what all the fuss is about and is less than happy with his find. Chris returns to clean up the woman and try to find out how she was locked in a storage locker when he notices she is no longer a lone inside, Jimmy arrives in time to see Walt emerge from the locker looking a little worse for wear. Let the Zombie Apocalypse Begin…
The writing and the art compliment each other fantastically, the story flows very smoothly, the protagonist is very likeable which connects you to him instantly and you root for him to survive. The supporting cast all have their own personalities. The dark comedic moments are placed perfectly to add that awkward laugh.

One again this gets a fanboy 5 from me. I’m hooked and I cannot wait to get my teeth into issue three.

Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
