REVIEW: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #49

G’day Turtle Fans!

This is Dodgy86 back in the fix bringing you a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by TMNT Co-creator Kevin Eastman, Bobby Curnow and Tom Waltz with art by Cory Smith.

As Shredders’ investment into Baxter Stockman’s failed Mousers project takes it’s toll..

To put an end to the rivalry, a decision was agreed between Shredder’s Foot Clan and Splinter’s Clan Hamato for a Gauntlet battle to the death! Yes, to the Death… What will the result be? Donnie is still out of action, Metal-Head is trusted as the fourth Turtle along with their Sensei Splinter to face-off against their classic foe Shredder and his goons for a once and for all battle!!

In this book, nothings appears to be smooth sailing, no one can be trusted and there’s a possibility for a cliff hanger in the 50th issue. The quality and the pacing of this story is full of intense action and subtle quirky dialogue. Smith’s art combines Waltz, the 80’s animated series and Nick Toons… all rolled into one! Wow!

Being a fellow TMNT fan, this book is a a major treat.. It’s a who’s who of the TMNT, first of all Rocksteady and Beebop are in this issue and Metal-Head is a cool 5th member!!

Ok Turtle Fans, do ya’self a favor and check it out!
