REVIEW: Untold Tales of I Hate Fairyland Issue 5

Untold Tales of I Hate Fairyland issue 5 is the last of this 5 issue series. It begins with the story “Fairy Road.” This short story is written by Scott Brown and David DelGrosso with art by Scott Brown.

Scott Brown is an award winning writer and publisher. He has worked on several titles from Image Comics, Albatros Funny Books, Platinum Studios Comics, Marvel Comics, Dynamite Comics and so much more.

David DelGrosso and Scott Brown’s story takes place on Fairy Road as the warriors of Fairyland bring havoc upon those who stand in their way. The crazy and insane story has everything you would want from a Fairyland story, fights, blood, guts, and even a severed head. The story is insane and the art is spectacular.

The second story in this final issue is called Judge Gerty, written and drawn by Derek Laufman. Gerty has been made Judge as part of her community service for murdering the last judge. You will not believe how this one ends! Let’s just say it was unexpected.

Derek Laufman is the writer and artist on Adventure Time Comics for Kaboom Comics, Crimson Fall: Lambs of God, Bot 9, The Witch of Wickerson and more!

The Untold Tales of I Hate Fairyland issue 5 does not disappoint if you are a fan of I Hate Fairyland. In true form you will laugh at how silly this is and be shocked at the violence that takes place, two things expected in this title.

The art in both stories are on target for this title as well. Both Scott and Derek really show their skill set with the action scenes and transitions between panels.
