REVIEW: Wytches #6

STORY BY: Scott Snyder
ART BY: Jock
COLORS BY: Matt Hollingsworth
LETTERS BY: Clem Robins
PUBLISHER: Image Comics

Oh my God these things are so gross…. they look like wingless pterodactyl demons. If you haven’t picked up any issues of “Wytches”, it is completely worth it just to get a gander at these freaky creatures, if nothing else. It’s Jock; the art’s going to be positively buzzing with character. I’ve always been a big fan of this series; it’s a sad, disturbing story with the incredibly creepy art to back it up.

The series finale wraps things up in a shocking and satisfying way. It has twists! Fire! Father and daughter kickin ass! Tender moments and flashbacks. I think I cried a little on the inside.

I am still confused about what “pledging” entails…but there’s no excuse for fans of being creeped out for not at least glancing through the first issue. “Wytches” has definitely been one of my favorite titles of recent months.
